Established in 2022, Fukurou is located within Búho Cocina y Cantina in the heart of Waikiki.

Named after the owl—“Fukurou” in Japanese and “Búho” in Spanish—the restaurant reflects a symbol shared across cultures. In Hawaiian tradition, the owl is regarded as a protective ‘aumākua, making it a meaningful connection between the concepts behind both restaurants.

Led by Head Chef Young, Fukurou offers a curated omakase experience that honors the foundations of Japanese cuisine while incorporating ingredients unique to Hawai‘i.
